Amplify mindware is organising a debate competion on :

Day/Date: Friday, 19-Feb-2010 – 4.45 pm onwards
Venue: Amplify Sky Lounge

Two teams – each team supporting either sides of the debate, 8 speakers in each team; Each of the 16 speakers will speak on their topic / side taken for 2 minutes each. After the speakers session of 45 minutes, the debate will be open for argumentation and cross—questioning of facts, for another 45 minutes. The debate event will be convened by two senior students with in-depth knowledge in this domain.

This topic has been long debated in the IT/Software industry and every Technology Manager is posed with a question in his/her mind – Whether to choose proprietary and licensed software for reliability, service assurance though costly, or to choose an open-source due to flexibility, low-cost though sometimes difficult due to lack of service, support and documentation.

So, get ready to witness one of the biggest wars in IT/software industry! Come and witness a part of the never-ending battle …!
